Born and raised in
Fitchburg, and now a longtime resident of Gardner, Brian has committed
his entire personal and professional life to public service. A U.S.
Marine veteran, Brian’s extensive law enforcement career includes
service with the Gardner, Athol, and Shirley Police Departments, as well
as the Fitchburg State College Campus Police. First serving as a
Gardner City Councilor, Brian was elected to the Massachusetts House of
Representatives in 1997, where he represented 2nd Worcester
District, for nearly ten years. During his legislative career, Brian
distinguished himself as Vice Chairman of the Criminal Justice and
Transportation Committees, as well as his vocal advocacy for many of the
issues facing local families, including: high energy costs, full funding
of public education, open space preservation, affordable prescription
drug coverage, and reducing the tax burden. He has spent his entire
legislative career being a big voice for North Central Massachusetts
cities and towns, and will continue to work hard on your behalf as the
next State Senator.
